Next General Meeting: November 19, 2025

First United Methodist Church - Blairsville (on Route 515, opposite Meeks Park)

Social Time 12:00 noon, Meeting Begins at 12:30 pm

Program: The November program will be another of the member-oriented projects. I would like you to bring your favorite, easily constructed quilt to show us. Everyone needs a simple pattern for those last-minute gifts or baby quilts. I use a free pattern called Warm Wishes that I got on-line from Quiltmaker magazine. Please email me (wazoo4u at gmail.com) with your favorite pattern name and source (pattern company, book, magazine or free) and bring the corresponding quilt to show the members. I hope to get 10 or more members to participate. We have a bunch of new members who would love to get a foothold in the guild. Let's connect with each other by sharing the quilts we love to sew over and over. Check your quilt stash and send me an email! The success of the November program will be how many new quilt ideas we take home and sew. I'm excited to hear from you!

New Photo Directory!

Karen Izor has agreed to put together a new photo directory for the Guild. The last one was done in 2018. She will be taking photos at the October and November General Meetings, so be ready for your close-up! (If you'd rather just re-use your 2018 photo, or have any questions, let us know at MistyMountainQuilters@gmail.com ). Directories will be available to purchase sometime after the first of the year. Price TBA.

Our Annual Holiday Potluck Luncheon!

Under normal circumstances, the Misty Mountain Quilters Guild meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the First United Methodist Church of Union County in Blairsville, GA. Usual arrival time is now 12:00 noon and the meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. It is the mission of our guild to educate, share, promote and keep alive the art and traditions of quiltmaking.
