Are you ready for QuiltFest 2025??
I've sold my 30 raffle tickets.
My quilts have been entered and payment submitted.
My quilts have the correct labels and hanging sleeves and meet all the requirements.
I've signed up for volunteer shifts.
I've told all my friends to come!
QuiltFest 2025 Entry Form deadline was July 22 except for "Tree of Life" challenge quilts (MMQG members only), which may be entered until August 26.
QuiltFest 2025 Volunteer Sign-up Form! Have you signed up for a shift or two during QuiltFest? We need you! If being on your feet for two hours doesn't work for you, there are plenty of sit-down jobs. A description of the tasks is here. The following tasks are doing manual sign-ups, not computerized: White Glove (chair: Nancy Gillis), Viewer's Choice Ballot Box (Sarah Sorenson) and Pre-show Quilt Hanging (Tracy Phillips). If you can help with these tasks, please contact the chairperson, or email mmqginfo@gmail.com.
Do you want to donate items to sell in the Guild Boutique? All the info is here.

August Program: Corrected Program Info!
Our speaker, Lisa Erlandson, will talk about "Keeping A Remembrance"
Quilts have long been used to create and preserve memories. Some of these quilts: Friendship quilts, signature quilts, and presentation quilts add the written word to fabric and in the process, preserve a moment in time. This program examines name-inscribed quilts from the 1840s to the 21st century. Who made this quilt and why? Some of the quilts give us an answer while some remain silent and mysterious.
New! To help you plan your MMQG activities in advance, we now have a Long Range Calendar online, with events for the next several months. For additions, changes or corrections, please contact Kathy Traylor, or mmqginfo@gmail.com.
Inclement Weather Policy: If Union County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, then Guild Activities are usually cancelled for that day. You can check the school system status at https://www.ucschools.org/.
Under normal circumstances, the Misty Mountain Quilters Guild meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the First United Methodist Church of Union County in Blairsville, GA. Usual arrival time is now 12:00 noon and the meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. It is the mission of our guild to educate, share, promote and keep alive the art and traditions of quiltmaking.
