Our next General Meeting....
Tuesday, February 24 (weather permitting!)
Inclement Weather Policy: If Union County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, then Guild Activities are usually cancelled for that day. You can check the school system status at https://www.ucschools.org/.
Arrive at 12 noon for social time, Meeting begins promptly at 12:30 pm.
The February program will be a trunk show with Linda Diak, via Zoom, on our nice big screen! Linda is an amazing art quilter from Vermont.
According to her web site, "I create art quilts to give voice to the animals in our world, speak to a moment in time, and honor the people and places in our lives. My work is narrative in nature, and often, nature in narration. I love a good story. Fabric and thread serve as my ‘paint.’ The needle is the ‘brush’ with which I add strokes, highlights, texture, and chapters to the story told in the quilt."
Retreat registration will begin at the February 24 General Meeting. The "Crazy About Quilting" sleep-in-your-own-bed retreat will be April 30-May 2, again at the Civic Center. Check the retreat page for up-to-date details! Bring cash (exact change, please) or your checkbook. We are not set up for electronic payments.
Starting in February: Beginners Quilting Class with Mary Chamier, Hand Quilting Class and Ruler Work Classes with Shirley Deasy. Contact the instructor for details.
To help you plan your MMQG activities in advance, we now have a Long Range Calendar online, with events for the next several months. For additions, changes or corrections, please contact Kathy Traylor, or mmqginfo@gmail.com.
